Hair grows in a cyclical pattern. It progresses from the growing (anagen) phase to the resting (telogen) phase via the intermediary (catagen) cycle. Hair is most susceptible to permanent reduction in the growing phase. Although virtually all the hairs will be removed each treatment, mainly only the hairs in anagen will experience permanent reduction. Therefore multiple treatments will be necessary.
